Hostfinn vs Lodgify: Which Property Management System Fits Your Rental Business?
By Hostfinn team 4 min read
Lodgify and Hostfinn are both property management systems for holiday rentals, but they are built around different jobs. Lodgify is strongest at bringing in bookings — direct-booking websites, API channel connections and guest communication. Hostfinn is built around running the properties and the money: expenses per property, co-host fees and owner statements.
This Hostfinn vs Lodgify comparison is written by the Hostfinn team, so we have tried to be precise about both tools and to link to Lodgify's own pages. Features and prices change; check the current details before you decide. Information about Lodgify was checked on 30 September 2026.

Where Lodgify is the stronger choice
- You want direct bookings. Lodgify's website builder and booking engine are central to the product. Hostfinn does not build websites.
- You need API-level channel management. API connections push availability and rates in both directions and update faster than iCal. Hostfinn imports calendars by iCal and flags overlaps; it does not push rates or availability to the channels.
- Guest communication is your bottleneck. Lodgify offers messaging and automation for guests.
Where Hostfinn is the stronger choice
- You co-host for several owners. Every property can be marked as managed, with its own percentage or fixed monthly fee. Expenses record who paid them, and the monthly settlement is calculated as income − your fee − expenses you paid. Owner statements are included in every Hostfinn plan.
- You want to know the real profit of each property. Income, expenses and net result per property sit on one dashboard.
- You mix holiday lets with long-term tenants. Contracts, rents and deposits live next to your short-term calendar.
- You want a simple, published price with no booking fees or setup fees, and the option to start with a small plan and grow into Professional or Corporate.
Owner statements compared
Both tools can now produce owner statements. Lodgify's statements, according to its own announcement, pull booking revenue, fees, expenses and payouts and can be downloaded as PDF or Excel on the Ultimate plan. In Hostfinn, statements are part of every plan: each owner receives a PIN-protected report with income, expenses and net result per property plus the monthly settlement, which opens in any browser and can be printed or saved as PDF.
The practical difference is where you work every day. If your day is mostly bookings and guests, Lodgify's statements sit at the end of that workflow. If your day is mostly owners, costs and cleaning, Hostfinn is built around that workflow. See what to look for in software with owner statements.
Can you use both?
Yes. Some managers keep a channel manager for distribution and use Hostfinn for expenses, owner statements and cleaning, importing reservations through iCal. It adds a subscription, so it makes most sense when owner reporting is a large part of your work.
Frequently asked questions
Is Hostfinn a Lodgify alternative?
For co-hosts and managers whose main work is owners, expenses and operations, yes. For hosts who depend on a direct-booking website and API channel management, Lodgify covers ground Hostfinn does not.
Does Hostfinn sync rates and availability to Airbnb and Booking.com?
No. Hostfinn imports reservations from the channels through iCal every hour and warns you about overlaps. Rates and availability are managed on the channels or in a channel manager.
How much does Hostfinn cost?
Basic is €9.90/month for up to 3 properties, Professional €49.90/month for up to 15 properties, and Corporate is agreed individually for larger portfolios. 14-day free trial, no setup fees. See plans and pricing.
